Ode In Blood Score Receives a Nomination for the Hollywood Music In Media Awards!

Just yesterday, I received news that my score for Ode in Blood, specifically the track entitled "Honor", was nominated for a Hollywood Music In Media Award by a panel of industry professionals in the short film/documentary category.  Without the support and direction of my wonderful director, Rea Rangaka, and producer Maura Blake Kelly, this score would not be possible.Many thanks also need to go to the musicians who brought my music to life:  Jennifer Walton on solo violin, Max Mueller on solo cello, MB Gordy for helping me lay down some wonderful African and Japanese percussion tracks at his studio, and Chris Bleth who played the shakuhachi (and various other wind instruments) with such skill and grace that only his mastery of that instrument could achieve.  Finally, my recording engineer and score mixer, Les Brockmann, who took in all these various elements and mixed my score so well. The awards ceremony for HMMA is in November 2014.  I'll keep everyone posted as the date gets closer!  Thank you all for the support!
